No camera and going crazy...

I still can't find that darn charger! Took the boys to the park today and would have loved to get cute pictures, but the battery is dead. No idea where I set the charger. I am so mad because I ALWAYS put it back in my camera bag. Ugh! I actually made a bunch of cards last night too. They were from a CTMH kit, but still, they were pretty cute :) I have looked everywhere and no luck. I stopped looking and it still hasn't turned up.

Other than that, life is cruising along. Still busy all the time with no time for creating, but I'm trying to sneak some in here and there. Last night, I made 14 cards from a kit while watching Grey's Anatomy. So happy it is back--LOVE that show!! I was a little disappointed in a few parts--like the giant icicle. I mean come on, they are in Seattle, not Alaska--LOL! I am glad to have tv back though. The only weird thing is everything starts at 7 here instead of 8, so I have to watch the time or I'll miss something:) Thought the Heroes premiere was FABULOUS this week.

I'm attending a conference this weekend, so I don't know how much I'm going to create, but I'm thinking of heading up to the scrap room in a little bit to see if anything calls out to me. I'm hoping to host a crop next Friday, but I don't know if I'll have anyone interested. I have the day off, so in addition to taking the boys to do the "something fun" I promised them, I'm thinking maybe I can get the house clean enough. Even if it's just me and my mom.

I've gone so long without creating on a regular basis, that when I do sit down, I am lost. I sit and stare at my supplies for a long time, and end up not doing anything. Or I end up cleaning (not the you can tell my house is such a mess right now) or grading papers or something "useful". Then I feel out of whack because I haven't made anything for a while.

In the meantime, I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. And to my loyal readers who have stuck with me during my lack of posts and artwork these past few months, thank you! Hopefully, I'll be creating and posting more soon.

Lost in My Own Life--why I love blogging

Ok, so I got on my blog trying to find pictures of the Christmas card workshops I did last year (which oddly enough I didn't post). As I'm looking, I start reading through posts and laughing at stories I'd forgotten all about. It's crazy how many things you forget in just a year. Also, how funny things are now that really weren't then--like the kids spraying shaving cream all over the bathroom--LOL! Then I read one from a year ago yesterday. I talked about how I missed living in Boise and getting to see the colors change in the fall. Who knew a year later I would be back here. And yes, the leaves are starting to turn. In another week or two, we'll have to take a trip to the park to take some pictures.

At least I hope I'll be able to take some pictures. I seem to have misplaced my camera's battery charger somewhere in the last couple weeks. I went to download some pictures of cards I made this week--yes, I actually did get a chance to create, when my camera died. I know I saw the charger sitting "somewhere", but I can't remember where. I'm hoping that if I STOP looking for it, it will turn up :) So, until I find it, there will be no pictures posted on my blog. How sad. In the meantime, I'm off to attempt some Christmas cards. I can't believe it's October--where does the time go?!

An A "moosing" card

My stepdad loves moose, so I knew this image Sparkle had sent me would be perfect for a birthday card for him. I was even more excited when I came across the saying in the "Guy Thing" paper pack. My step-dad is very possessive of his remote when he's in his chair. Too perfect. He got a big kick out of the card. Plus, it felt good to actually make a card again. Hopefully, I'll start being able to balance my time better soon. It just seems like there aren't enough hours in the day right now!!

Home Sweet Home

Well, we FINALLY got around to taking a family picture I could use for "We've moved" cards. I know that even though I have a darling stamp set from Sweet N Sassy stamps I got to make the cards, I'll never have time. So, I'm just going to have photo cards made from Costco. We took a break at halftime of the Boise State game (GO BRONCOS!) to take photos, but what an adventure.

We started setting up out front

Then Mike realized the door was locked. Major panic attack--all the sets of keys were in the house. The only other person who has a key is my mom--she's at the Boise State game and we don't even have a cell phone to call her.

Then Mike remembered that he had opened the back downstairs window. Thank goodness! We sent Austin through--and Brendan too of course.

And Mom got her picture for the cards :)

Sweet September

I love fall--always have. The colors, the crisp air--love it all :) I am so excited this year to be in a part of the country where there are actually seasons, and that I will be able to see fall in all it's glory! We've had this gloriously cool weather the last few days and it got me thinking that Autumn is right around the corner. Can't wait.

Anyway, we had a fabulous Labor Day weekend--my house is really starting to look like home. We were able to get some things unpacked and set up. My hutch is up and full again. Best of all, my scrap room is usable. Not totally set up, and I'll be working out of boxes for a long time to come, but at least I can create in there. Woohoo!

Here's a peek:

I placed an order today and I'm hoping to start doing a little with CTMH again soon. I hope I can find a balance between my full time job and creating on the side. I'm headed to a training with my second upline this weekend--so happy to be back where I can attend them. Talk about a small world--my mom's friend tells me about her neighbor who has a son Austin's age and would be interested in watching him after school if I need her to. So I get a hold of her and not only is her son in Austin's class, but she's a CTMH consultant and on the same team her in ID as me. Needless to say, Austin is going there after school now :) I keep saying things are happening as they are meant to. I just need to sit back and go with the flow.

Here are a couple of cards I made last night for a swap. I ran out of the Hollyhock ric rac, so some are brown ribbon instead. Love that it gives it a totally different look. Stamps are the SOTM Life's Treasures and papers are Magic Moments. I clear embossed the flowers on Colonial White and then sponged in Hollyhock.

One final image for you, here's my boys helping Daddy put together the dining room table.
